Why isn't the Army broken?

Interesting blog on the Post that asks the above question.

Be sure to read the comments to get the full story, as several mildly well informed people chime in to say their piece.

Unless a new comment has popped up since I initially read this, no one has yet uttered the "I" word, but all of us around these parts know what's up.

Yeah, they've got a lot of bodies voluntold from the other services in Iraq/A-Stan. I met a NAvy Chief who was doing route clearance in Ramadi, fergodsakes. Of course, the military is still in trouble, but at least the branches are becoming more miserable. Now that's equality! The Army is hurtin' pretty bad, can we keep this up?

Nice to see another disgruntled O-3, preach on, brother!

Oh, I would say that I'm reasonably gruntled when you get right down to it. Great job (all things considered), super great wife, great friends, a lot to look forward to when I get home...but that doesn't mean that I'm not eager to call shenanigans when and if I see them (which tends to be rather frequently).

I'm a disgruntled O-3, LT Nixon and I am sure that I make up for my husband's "gruntled-ness"
